Utah Photoshoot Locations

 

How beautiful is Utah?! I am seriously so lucky to live in this state that contains every form of scenery possible! This list is to help you find your location for your next photoshoot! Keep in mind, I'm still new to this beautiful state and many places below I have only visited and dream to shoot at so I have a lot of scenery photos to give you an idea. If it's on the list, I know we can make magic there in photograph form!



Kays Creek Trail

Location: East Layton

Trappers Loop

Location: Mountain Green

Albion Basin

Location: Albion Basin

Gate Entry Fee: $15/car

Wildflowers are at peak during late July-early August! This is an extremely busy location, but the pictures are SO worth it and you won't see a single sole in the background of your photos!


Tunnel Springs

Location: Bountiful

Wanting grass hills or wide open dry fields look? Then this is your ideal location! If you're up for a walk you can also get an overlook of the city.


Red Butte Garden

Location: Salt Lake City

Admission: $16/person

The garden features a wide variety of plants and trees from around the world. Visitors can wander through colorful flower gardens, meander along winding paths, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the garden’s many water features. If the weather is bad, ask if the Orangerie is available to the public (it is when not being used for private events) and it is a great indoor location with tons of greenery all year round.


Capitol Building


Location: Salt Lake City

Such a beautiful and elegant backdrop!


Tibble Fork Reservoir

Location: Utah County

Canyon Entry Fee: $6

La Caille


Photo fee: $30/person for 1 hour

This venue has a huge range of backdrops for a session from lush gardens to elegant architecture and mountain views!


Walker Farms


Location: Lindon

$150/hr - Outside Photography only


Wheeler Farm

Location: Salt Lake City

Photo permit fee: $10


Jordan Pines Campground


Location: Big Cottonwood Canyon

Beautiful when green or snowy!


Storm Mountain Lookout

Location: Big Cottonwood Canyon

Parking fee: $9/vehicle

This location is a little hike from the amphitheater and leads to a full 360 view of the mountains. This spot is best at sunrise or right before sunset!

Bonneville Salt Flats

Location: Tooele County

Travel Fee: $100

It's a drive, but it's SO worth it!


Antelope Island

Location: Davis County

Park Entry Fee: $15/car (State parks pass)

Travel Fee: $50

Such a beautiful place all year long!


The Saltair


Location: Magna

If you are not willing to make the drive to the Salt Flats, the Saltair is your next best option! And its best feature is the Great Salt Lake with beaches and the most beautiful sunsets.

Little Dell Reservoir


Location: Eastern Salt Lake County

North Fork Campground


Location: Eden, UT

Easy place to drive around and get a ton of variety.

Ashton Gardens


Location: Thanksgiving Point / Lehi

Photo permit: $100 (does not include admission)

Big Springs Park


Location: Provo

Easy parking and big open spaces with easy walking!
